Senior Accountant / Technical Accountant- Healthcare (Cardiology practices)

Location: Austin, TX- Hybrid. The ideal candidate will be local to Austin, TX to work a hybrid schedule of remote and in office. Primarily remote may also be considered but training in Austin, TX will be required.
Position Summary: technical execution + complex reconciliations + close ownership + integrations
The Senior Accountant / Technical Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the monthly close process, complex reconciliations, financial reporting, technical accounting analysis, and accounting integration initiatives across a growing multi-entity healthcare platform. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, operational ownership, and the ability to manage complex accounting activities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly and year-end close activities
- Prepare and review complex account reconciliations and journal entries
- Support technical accounting research and accounting policy documentation
- Assist with multi-entity accounting and consolidation processes
- Support audit requests and financial statement preparation
- Assist with acquisition integrations and process standardization initiatives
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
- Support system implementations and accounting workflow improvements
- Maintain organized accounting support documentation and schedules
- Support training, mentorship, and development of junior accounting staff
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Multi-entity and healthcare experience preferred
- Strong GAAP knowledge and close management experience
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, lean, high-accountability environment
