We are hiring Facilities Enhancement Technicians for the NC State Student Centers. You’ll be part of a team that fosters a clean and safe environment for students and guests of NC State University. In this fast paced, hands on role, you will use standard housekeeping equipment, tools and supplies to accomplish basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and disinfecting.
This position requires a high degree of flexibility to respond to and coordinate with the needs of clients, occupants, and requests. Communication with the team, others and supervisor is critical for success.
This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs frequently and 90 lbs occasionally, stand for long periods of time, walking, bending, twisting, pulling and pushing (all with or without reasonable accommodations).
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Report discrepancies found within the assigned building in addition to responding to emergencies and inclement weather.
- Inventory of assigned area
- Move and reset furniture
- Perform proper routine maintenance on all equipment.
- Mandatory status during adverse weather (and other emergency) conditions to participate in snow/ice removal under the direction of a supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Student Centers business needs are met.
There are 3 vacancies available for the following shifts:
- 4 am – 12:30 pm Tuesday – Saturday (7 am – 3:30 on Saturday)
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Thursday – Monday (7 am – 3:30 on Saturday & Sunday)
- 3:30 pm – 12:00 am Thursday – Monday
