AI Specialist Intern - Dry It Center (Idaho Falls), part of Everlast Brands
This is an internship for academic credit, arranged through your university's internship or capstone program (BYU-Idaho, ISU, or your school's equivalent). One semester, scheduled around your classes. Learn to put AI to work inside a real store: Dry It Center sells and rents cleaning and restoration equipment in Idaho Falls, and you will spend a semester building AI workflows for a real retail and rental business - inventory, rentals, orders, reviews, local marketing - with the wider Everlast Brands family of companies as your lab when a project outgrows the store.
What you will learn:
- AI workflow design: how to take a messy real business process (rental check in, inventory counts, order handling, review responses) and design an AI assisted version that actually holds up
- Prompt and agent engineering: structured prompting, tool use, and agent patterns against real business data, not toy examples
- Automation plumbing: connecting AI to the systems a store actually runs on: point of sale, inventory, spreadsheets, forms, phone and email
- Evaluation and reliability: how to test AI output, catch failures, and decide what is safe to automate versus what needs a human
- A portfolio that opens doors: every project you build is yours to show: real deployments with real results beat any class project in an interview
