American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of neuro specialty experience and night shift availability.

Position is on the Neuroscience ICU/IMCU unit (8AB), with floating between the ICU and stepdown unit expected
-
High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex, high-volume, and diverse trauma cases
-
ICU patient ratio is 1:2; stepdown patient ratio is 1:3-4

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Block scheduling is generally not approved

No on-call requirements

Active RN license — GA license or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro ICU or neuro specialty

Strong neuro nursing background required; profile must reflect this clearly

Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required

Background in high-volume hospitals with complex and severe cases required; candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Current certifications required (copies must be provided for consideration)

Provides critical care nursing to neurological patients across both ICU and stepdown levels of care

Work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration

EMR experience must be included in work history
