Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries with clear communication and a positive attitude
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling items, and merchandising displays to boost sales
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain a tidy checkout area to enhance store presentation
- Support inventory management through stocking and inventory checks to ensure product availability
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer questions remotely
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Previous supervising experience or leadership skills in retail or grocery store environments
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively to maximize sales opportunities
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better
- Strong communication skills for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques
