Duties
- Prepare and assemble produce items for sale by sorting, trimming, and packaging to meet quality standards
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock counting, rotation, and replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of produce displays, storage areas, and workstations to ensure food safety standards are met
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging produce displays attractively to maximize sales potential
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about produce options, offering product recommendations, and supporting retail sales efforts
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and inventory control systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus)
- Previous warehouse experience with a focus on produce or grocery store operations preferred
- Capable of performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning work areas and ensuring equipment functions properly
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and keep workspaces tidy
- Customer service-oriented mindset with retail sales skills to enhance shopper satisfaction
