Duties
- Lead survey crews in the execution of land surveys, including boundary, topographic, ALTA (American Land Title Association) surveys, and construction staking.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced surveying equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, Trimble systems, and total stations to collect precise geospatial data.
- Utilize CAD software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, Carlson, and Schematics to process survey data and prepare detailed drawings and schematics.
- Conduct complex calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math principles to determine accurate measurements and positions.
- Manage field data collection using GIS (Geographic Information Systems), ArcGIS, and other GIS tools for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Ensure all survey activities comply with safety standards, project specifications, and local regulations while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, civil engineers, and clients to deliver timely survey results that support construction plans and land development projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Land Surveying Party Chief or similar role with extensive knowledge of land surveying techniques and equipment.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles related to land development projects.
- Proficiency in using GPS technology, 3D scanners, Trimble systems, and CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Carlson, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with schematics creation for construction layouts and ALTA surveys.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
- Solid grasp of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math fundamentals essential for precise measurements.
- Experience working on construction sites or civil engineering projects involving data collection and mapping using GIS tools like ArcGIS.

Pay: $24.69 - $29.74 per hour
