Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care, addressing any medication-related inquiries or concerns.
- Prepare and label medications for distribution, ensuring proper dosage and administration routes are clearly indicated.
- Conduct inventory management of pharmaceutical supplies, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and proper inhalation techniques when applicable.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices and advancements.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
- Must have Sterile Technician Certification
- Must be licensed with the Texas state border Pharmacy
- Experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique for the preparation of sterile products.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
