Duties
- Safely operate a cargo van to deliver packages along assigned routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices.
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures when required, and ensure accurate documentation of all deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to confirm delivery status and report any issues or delays promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns courteously.
Qualifications
- Must own a high-roof cargo van and dolly for assistance
- Prior delivery driver experience is preferred; familiarity with route driving and courier services is a plus.
- Experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks with manual transmission is highly desirable.
- Warehouse experience involving manual handling, moving heavy items, or operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not required for all roles.
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and adhering to traffic laws ensures safety for yourself and others on the road.
- Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, communication, and documentation purposes efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages regularly while following safe lifting practices; capable of standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout shifts.
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
