EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a County Social Services Aide 1, your work focuses on assisting families with daily needs and supporting children through supervised visits, transportation, and in-home guidance. This is an excellent opportunity for one-on-one assistance and communication with families to work toward positive goals and outcomes. In this role, you will perform the following duties: Family Support: Provide training and guidance in budgeting, parenting, nutrition, and home careVisit Supervision: Monitor and support visits between children and parents in safe settingsTransportation Assistance: Transport clients to appointments, services, and supervised visits as requiredHome Assistance: Help families with daily household needs, errands, and emergency support tasksRecord Documentation: Prepare written updates, maintain files, and report information to caseworkersCommunity Coordination: Assist with programs, meetings, and activities that support children and familiesWork Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Possible travel requiring overnight stays.Possible after-hour appointments for supervised visitation and transportation.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
