Arlington Reservoir Beach Supervisor
Seasonal Position - $25/hour; 15-30 hours/week
Job Summary
We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable and professional Reservoir Beach Supervisor for seasonal employment with the Town of Arlington Recreation Department. The Reservoir Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of daily Reservoir Beach operations.
Supervisor Responsibilities

Day-to-day supervision of The Reservoir Beach facility, staff, and visitors, including but not limited to enforcing rules to staff and participants if necessary.
Works independently and collaboratively in overseeing daily activities while providing exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming environment.
Facilitate emergency protocol procedures such as inclement weather clearing of water and beach, missing child procedure, and emergency action plan.
Support facility standards by completing regular cleanliness and safety walkthroughs and assisting with inventory management for supplies and retail items.
Involved in all front gate related activities including:
o
Check membership passes and confirms household eligibility consistently.
o
Uphold fee requirements for all admissions
o
Monitor capacity limits for beach and water.
o
Preventing prohibited items from entering the gated area.
Responsible for all cash management and concession/gate reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy, security, and timely reporting.
o
Establishes and enforces cash-control policies and procedures including Point of Sale system, counting, floats, deposits, safe access, and dual control.
Direct Reservoir Beach attendants to complete their assigned roles at snack bar and entrance gate, as well as direct maintenance staff duties.
Supervise and/or assist with opening and closing procedures as well as provide support for special events, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Assist in resolving or escalating to Recreation Department leadership team any employee issues or concerns when necessary.
Backup support for any employee who is absent.
Work Schedule
Approximately 15-30 hours per week.
Flexibility to be available on weekends and/or holidays.
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position requirements.
Physical Demand
Exposure to summer seasonal elements.
Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
Physical Requirements
Strenuous physical effort is often required to perform duties. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, speak and hear, use hands to operate equipment, climb or balance, stoop and reach with hands and arms. The employee is routinely required to lift, move, and/or push items weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include the ability to read routine documents and operate equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements
•Current First Aid/CPR & AED Certification required. High school diploma/GED equivalent required. •Must be 21 years of age or older. •Strongly preferred applicants with a background in recreational studies, sports management or related field. •Superior customer service skills. •Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills. •Basic computer proficiency (MyRec software experience preferred).
