Position Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Tool & Die Apprentice to join our team and learn the art of building and maintaining precision tooling. This is a hands-on training role where you’ll work alongside experienced toolmakers to learn how to create, repair, and maintain the dies and tools used in our manufacturing processes.
What You’ll Do
- Assist senior toolmakers in building, assembling, and repairing progressive and transfer dies.
- Learn to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
- Operate a variety of shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
- Help with troubleshooting and making adjustments to ensure tools run smoothly.
- Follow safety practices and keep your work area clean and organized.
- Gain valuable skills in machining, precision measuring, and problem solving.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school a plus).
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in hands-on work.
- Basic math skills and an eye for detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
