Job Summary:
Minuteman Press - Oakdale is seeking a detail-oriented Print Press Operator / Customer Service Associate to join our production team. This dynamic hybrid role is responsible for operating and maintaining digital printing and finishing equipment, as well as performing a variety of customer service and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality printed materials are delivered on time and to specification.
The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, a good eye for color and quality, and takes pride in producing professional results while working independently. They will also be an autonomous problem solver who understands that they need to take ownership of every problem that comes to their attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers over the phone, email, and in-person to obtain detailed printing specifications, produce quotations, provide invoices and collect payment.
- Enter orders into the order management system.
- Operate digital printing presses to produce printed materials such as business cards, booklets, brochures, banners, signage, and other marketing items.
- Set up print files, load materials, and perform press checks to ensure accuracy and color consistency.
- Perform finishing tasks including cutting, folding, binding, laminating, drilling, and packaging of printed items.
- Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring all jobs meet company and customer standards.
- Maintain and clean printing and finishing equipment; report maintenance needs to management.
- Assist with inventory management of paper stocks, toner, and finishing supplies.
- Collaborate with the graphic design team to ensure print jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area, following all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to learn how to use printing and finishing equipment; Previous experience with Konica presses a huge plus but we will train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.
- Basic computer knowledge; experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
