Job Responsibilities
As a Courier, you will drive a cargo van to deliver and or pick up packages throughout the day while on route. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service as well as following all applicable laws and safety regulations.
Courier responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading freight into trucks or vans in a timely manner
- Hit all deliveries and pickups within the given time frames
- Perform Daily vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle is in safe and working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
- Communicate delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to your dispatcher or other couriers while on route
Job Requirements
Success in this position will be determined by your flexibility, organization, and ability to multi-task. We are looking for a customer-focused Courier who will promote teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Courier requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must have a Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be Safety-conscious
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check as well as drug screening exams
- Ability to step in and out of vehicles, walk at a fast pace, squat, kneel, and/or crouch for short periods of time
- Must be able to follow directions and use GPS electronically
