American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Radiology Services - MRI unit, requiring ARRT certification and cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience.

Radiology Services department within a hospital setting, specializing in MRI imaging
-
Performs MRI procedures under the medical supervision of certified radiologists
-
Responsible for supervision of student MRI Technologists assigned to them
-
Schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM

40 hours per week

No call required

May float to a nearby sister hospital

ARRT registration required

Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required

Active SC or compact state license required if applicable

Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
-
Cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience preferred

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations

Ability to frequently stand, walk, and lift/move patients; must be able to intermittently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Perform MRI procedures following established protocols and produce diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation

Assist radiologists during procedures and support clinical education of student technologists

Ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system

Instruct and prepare patients on imaging procedures, assist with informed consent, and communicate discharge instructions to family members

Maintain radiation safety practices in accordance with ALARA principles and applicable regulatory guidelines (DHEC, TJC)

Assist with maintaining records, reports, and files in collaboration with the broader imaging team

Previous travelers may return to a new assignment after a mandatory 30–60 day break following one full calendar year on assignment
