Truck Up Logistics LLC is accepting future candidates for the role of On-Call Logistics Operator — Independent Contractor to provide additional transportation capacity for local, regional, and intrastate freight operations.
This role is designed for reliable, safety-focused, and professional operators who are available for assignment-based freight opportunities as operational demand increases. The On-Call Logistics Operator may be used for overflow freight, strategic partner route coverage, same-day capacity needs, backup route support, and intrastate freight movement.
This is a part-time, on-call, as-needed independent contractor opportunity. Assignments are not guaranteed and will be offered based on freight availability, partner demand, operational requirements, and contractor availability. Contractors may accept or decline available assignments based on schedule, readiness, and route details.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced logistics environment, working long operational shifts when needed, and completing daily route assignments that may range from 100 to 200 miles depending on freight demand. Most standard assignments are expected to fall within an 8 to 10-hour operational window.
Truck Up Logistics will provide a $300 flat daily rate for each accepted and completed standard assignment. Extended routes, emergency coverage, or short-notice assignments may qualify for higher approved rates when authorized before dispatch.

The On-Call Logistics Operator plays an important role in strengthening Truck Up Logistics’ transportation capacity, supporting strategic freight partner operations, protecting freight opportunities, and maintaining reliable route execution during peak demand and overflow operations.
Duties
Operate assigned or approved box truck / freight vehicle for local, regional, and intrastate freight assignments.
Complete accepted route assignments safely, professionally, and on time.
Transport freight, materials, equipment, business goods, or partner cargo based on approved assignment details.
Support overflow freight, backup route coverage, same-day freight needs, and strategic partner operations.
Perform pickup and delivery services according to shipper, receiver, partner, and Truck Up Logistics instructions.
Communicate route status, delays, arrivals, departures, and completion updates to Truck Up Logistics operations or dispatch contact.
Follow assigned route details, pickup windows, delivery windows, freight instructions, and customer requirements.
Assist with loading, unloading, freight handling, and freight securement when required by the assignment.
Protect all freight from damage, loss, mishandling, or unsafe transport conditions.
Maintain professional conduct with shippers, receivers, brokers, vendors, freight partners, warehouse personnel, and customers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have an acceptable driving record.
Must be legally authorized to work as an Independent Contractor.
Must be able to operate a box truck, straight truck, cargo van, pickup truck, or approved freight vehicle depending on assignment needs.
Must be available for part-time, on-call, and as-needed freight assignments.
Must be able to work 8 to 10-hour operational shifts when assignments require it.
Must be comfortable driving 100 to 200 miles daily depending on route demand.
Must be able to support local, regional, and intrastate freight operations.
Must be physically capable of performing freight-related duties, including basic loading, unloading, securing freight, and handling delivery paperwork.
Must be able to communicate clearly with Truck Up Logistics operations, freight partners, shippers, receivers, and customers.
Must be able to follow route instructions, pickup windows, delivery windows, and freight handling requirements.
Must maintain professional conduct while representing Truck Up Logistics and its strategic freight partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience operating box trucks, straight trucks, cargo vans, pickup trucks, or commercial delivery vehicles.
Prior experience in freight, logistics, delivery, moving, warehouse, final-mile, courier, or transportation operations.
Experience with local and intrastate routes.
Experience handling bills of lading, proof of delivery, delivery photos, route paperwork, or freight documents.
Familiarity with GPS navigation, route planning, ELD systems, delivery apps, load boards, or dispatch communication tools.
Comfortable working with warehouse teams, shippers, receivers, brokers, and freight partners.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision once assignment details are confirmed.
Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Safety-first mindset with strong attention to detail.
Safety & Compliance Qualifications
Must follow all applicable DOT, FMCSA, state, local, shipper, receiver, and partner requirements.
Must be able to safely inspect vehicle condition before and after route assignments when required.
Must be able to report equipment issues, route delays, accidents, incidents, cargo damage, or freight discrepancies immediately.
Must not operate while impaired, fatigued, unsafe, or unable to complete the assignment properly.
Must maintain safe driving habits, including defensive driving, proper spacing, speed control, and freight awareness.
Must understand the importance of cargo securement, professional route execution, and customer-facing conduct.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, drive, enter and exit vehicles, walk, stand, bend, reach, and perform basic freight movement duties.
Must be able to lift, move, or assist with freight when required by the assignment.
Must be able to safely use basic freight equipment when applicable, such as pallet jacks, straps, dollies, liftgates, ramps, or hand trucks.
Must be able to work in different weather conditions, traffic conditions, warehouse environments, and delivery locations.
Must be able to complete longer operational days when freight demand requires it.
