What You'll Do
As an SLP, you'll evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs while helping improve their communication, safety, independence, and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating residents and developing individualized treatment plans
- Providing skilled speech and swallowing therapy
- Addressing communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments
- Using AAC strategies when appropriate
- Educating residents, families, caregivers, and staff
- Collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Supporting swallow studies such as MBSS and FEES when needed
- Completing timely and accurate documentation
- Supporting restorative nursing staff as needed
What We're Looking For
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
- CCC-SLP or eligible Clinical Fellow (CF)
- In good standing with applicable licensing boards and regulatory agencies
- LTC/SNF or geriatric experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills
- Net Health experience is a plus
- Passion for helping residents achieve their highest level of independence
