Job Summary:
As a Part Time Self-Storage Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and cleanliness of our self-storage facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair requests, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the property. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on storage units, doors, locks, gates, fences, lighting systems, and other facility infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from customers and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and safely.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the property, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Assist in snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, providing information about the facility, and addressing concerns or complaints.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry skills.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
