Overview
We are looking for a Part-Time Physical Education (PE) Coach dedicated to inspiring and engaging elementary students from transitional kindergarten through third grade. In this dynamic role, you will foster a love for movement, sports, and healthy living while helping young learners develop essential physical skills. Your energetic approach will motivate students to participate actively, learn new sports, and build confidence in their physical abilities. Responsibilities
- Lead engaging PE classes focused on developing fundamental motor skills, coordination, and teamwork for TK-3 students
- Promote safe practices during physical activities by supervising students and ensuring proper use of equipment
- Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear behavior management strategies
- Support students’ social-emotional growth by encouraging sportsmanship, cooperation, and confidence-building
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate physical education into overall student development plans
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and energetic environment that motivates children to participate actively in all activities
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or martial arts such as karate, judo, or climbing is desirable
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Background in teaching or coaching sports like basketball or cheerleading is a plus
- Experience working within health clubs or gyms focusing on youth fitness programs is beneficial
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners effectively
