Duties
- Assist lead teachers in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Engage children in activities that foster childhood development, including social skills, motor skills, and cognitive growth through hands-on learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on children’s progress and address any concerns related to child welfare or behavior.
- Implement early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays, ensuring inclusive classroom practices.
- Follow mandated reporting laws diligently to ensure child safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and standardized testing results to support ongoing educational planning.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques such as literacy education, classroom management, and behavior management.
- Experience with special education practices or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Familiarity with curriculum development tools including Montessori methods and standardized testing procedures.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained prior to employment.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Previous classroom experience involving lesson planning, tutoring young children, or teaching physical education is advantageous.
