Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee complex vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Perform detailed engine repairs, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system troubleshooting.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and electrical system schematics to diagnose electrical faults effectively.
- Conduct alignments, wheel balancing, and other vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely during repair operations.
- Mentor junior technicians by sharing expertise on automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and overall vehicle systems.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and safety regulations while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and parts used for each vehicle serviced.
- Support the dealership’s commitment to customer service by providing transparent communication about repairs and timelines.
Skills
- Extensive dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and interpreting schematics for electrical systems.
- Deep knowledge of ADAS technology, heavy lifting techniques, and alignment procedures.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair as well as general automotive engine system troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with power tools and manual handling equipment.
- Ability to read automotive wiring diagrams accurately and apply this knowledge during repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance protocols.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all repair tasks.
