Job Summary:
Performs the structural design of projects – structural analysis and calculations, structural drawing creation, and coordination with clients and other design partners. Also supports the Project Manager and/or Senior Engineers with project delivery and supervision of junior staff.

Job Responsibilities

Performs structural design of projects, including executing calculations and analysis, preparing drawings, and drafting reports.

Researches applicable codes, regulations, and requirements.

Coordinates the structural design internally within the firm and with other disciplines.

May stamp and sign projects at the direction of the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer.

Performs Construction Administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visits (e.g. for construction observation).

Coordinates and performs BIM work.

Provides guidance and assistance to Assistant Engineers and Technicians with design tasks, including reviewing of work.

Communicates during projects including coordination with other engineers/BIM staff and with design partners.

Attends assigned project meetings.

May supervise assigned Assistant Engineers at the discretion of the Project Manager.

Supports team objectives, goals, and projects.

May manage small to medium-sized projects, under the supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.
