We are looking for a skilled and passionate Line Cook/ Prep Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, setting up kitchen stations, and ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Station Setup: Stock and prepare your workstation with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before service begins.
- Food Prep: Chop vegetables, portion meats, and prepare sauces according to our specific recipes and portion sizes.
- Cooking: Execute menu items efficiently via grilling, frying, sautéing, or baking, ensuring correct temperature and flavor profile.
- Plating: Garnish and plate dishes quickly and accurately, coordinating with other line cooks to ensure tables are served together.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary station throughout your shift.
- Food Safety: Follow all local health department regulations, including proper food rotation (FIFO), temperature logging, and safe storage.
- Teamwork: Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Skills: Proficient knife skills and deep familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, flat-tops, ovens).
- Tools: Possession of a professional, personal knife kit is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for long shifts (8+ hours) and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Certifications: Current food handler’s card or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
