The Laboratory Technician I performs testing of basic components and systems in accordance with engineering specifications, procedures and acceptable industry standards in support of senior technicians.
This position will serve our US Air Division , located in Fort Smith, AR .
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrate understanding of the following concepts:
Sheet metal and assembly design and design fabrication
Test standards and materials properties
Test performance and documentation
Ability to understand equipment assembly, basic electrical wiring, and basic system maintenance and repair.
Experience with driving and operating a lift truck preferred, ability to obtain a Forklift license within six months of hire if needed.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
Must be able to safely climb, bend, or otherwise move while potentially carrying heavy equipment or parts, up to 50 pounds, occasionally.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
Associate Degree, Voc-tech Degree or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience in job industry specific products, service and installation preferred.
