We are looking for an accountant who will perform office administration activities, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, payroll and preparation of annual tax return. As an accountant, you will also be responsible for billing and financial reporting to support operations and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall financial aspects of the office
- Prepare the employee pay roll and ensure disbursement per the time sheets
- Process payment requests from team members to vendors
- Ensure that payables are paid in a timely manner
- Ensure that customers are billed by respective departments on a timely basis and in compliance with revenue recognition principles
- Ensure receivables are collected promptly and issue weekly status report
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare information for annual external audit and tax return preparation
- Process Texas Sales tax monthly
- Updating HR forms with required federal and state regulatory data.
- Maintain Relationship with insurance company and request COI’s issuance to vendors
- Report to Owners and managers and ensure timely submission of reports
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled with QuickBooks Online and Office 365
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and assume a more responsible role with time
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Experience closing books and issuing financial statements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
