We are looking for a competent and customer service-oriented Project Superintendent with commercial construction experience to coordinate operations and oversee subcontractors at construction sites.
A construction superintendent has a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience enable you to QC the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else. You must be committed to quality, client satisfaction, and company standards. Willingness to dedicate hours as needed to meet the requirements of the job is an imperative trait of a good candidate.
Job Description
- Orient new subcontractors to projects.
- Help the area Project Managers manage and secure project equipment.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage crew, all subcontractors and vendors, expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis, and identify and resolve construction problems as they develop.
- Maintain accurate personal timekeeping.
- Manage material receiving - ensure that material received is properly inspected for quantity and quality, and that the receiving tickets are properly signed and submitted.
- Comply with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, weekly unit reports, and weekly updates to the details.
- Help project managers comply with contract documents and company reporting requirements.
- Coordinate scope of work with other trades.
- Attend and/or conduct required jobsite meetings.
- Maintain safety standards - safety planning is to be included in all pre-job planning and considered foremost in the daily operations.
- Maintain quality consistent with company standards, without exception.
- Identify all potential change orders and back-charges that may affect project profitability and document them to the extent required.
- Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents.
- Satisfy customers, vendors, and the company. Be sensitive to special requirements of the customer, vendors, or neighbors to ensure satisfactory relations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Computer skills – navigate building software on PC and iPad, as well as Excel and email.
- Project Site experience is a plus
- High level of proficiency in reading blueprints and building specifications
- Effective written and verbal communications skills for daily reporting and client management
- Systematic and structured organizational and leadership skills
- Some demonstrable experience in a management position or leadership role preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent experience, including math skills
- Good physical condition and stamina
Preferred Experience
- Field experience (Superintendent or Foreman)
- Scheduling/Job Coordination experience

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt
Salary: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00
The position may require more than 40 hours and occasional weekend work to meet deadlines.
