We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fry Cook to join our culinary team. As a Fry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various fried foods while ensuring adherence to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Participate in training sessions for new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in roles such as fry cook or line cook, is preferred.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on cooking techniques, particularly frying methods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Experience in fine dining or catering settings is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
