At The Children's Guild, technology isn't just infrastructure — it's a lifeline for educators, students, and families. We are looking for a motivated and people-centered Onsite IT Technician to keep our schools and programs running smoothly across the Greater Baltimore/Washington region.

The Children's Guild is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming how America educates and cares for its children. We operate special education schools, public charter schools, therapeutic programs, outpatient mental health clinics, apprenticeships, and more — all united by a single mission: helping every child thrive.
As our Onsite IT Technician, you will be on the front lines — traveling between our school locations, solving technical challenges, and empowering teachers and staff with the tools they need to do their best work for students.
You will:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across multiple sites

Create and manage IT support tickets, keeping staff informed every step of the way

Install and configure software and devices, including laptops, Chromebooks, hotspots, and phones

Provide hands-on and remote technical support to staff and students

Serve as the onsite point of contact for IT equipment deployment and management

Partner with the central IT team to proactively identify and resolve emerging issues

Train staff and teachers on the correct use of devices and educational technology
✔ High school diploma or GED (required)
✔AA, Undergraduate degree and or Certifications (A+, Net+, or Security +) (preferred)
✔ Working knowledge of computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and common software
✔ Strong communication and customer service skills — you'll be working with teachers, students, and colleagues daily
✔ A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to see tasks through to completion
✔ Ability to multitask, stay flexible, and thrive in a fast-moving environment
✔ Reliable Transportation between school sites in Washington DC, College Park, and PG County MD.
✔ Must be an approved driver — up to 75% travel between sites
✔ Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
