Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified PMHNP-BC Psychiatric Nurse to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This advanced practice registered nurse will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions across diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in medication management, patient assessment, and collaborative practice within a variety of clinical settings. This role may be delivered via telehealth, in person, or a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive patient assessments.
- Over see SUD evaluations and the MAT treatment plan
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective pharmacological interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient education on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and wellness.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to psychiatric treatments and behavioral health and SUD advancements.
- Manage acute psychiatric crises
- Engage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for diverse populations across different locations.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, drug enforcement agency (DEA) guidelines, and other relevant legal standards.
- Stay current with advancements in psychopharmacology, behavioral health therapies, and healthcare diagnosis protocols.Experience
- Valid PMHNP-BC certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent credentialing body.
- Demonstrated experience working with young adults , or specialized populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or SUD care.
- Prior clinical experience in diverse settings including hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, or community mental health centers.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Experience managing complex cases involving acute pain management, substance use disorders, or behavioral health interventions.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures including CPT coding for billing purposes and medical documentation standards.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis codes such as ICD-10/ICD-9 for accurate record keeping.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
