We currently have an opening for a F/T Shipping/Warehouse position. (Will consider P/T applicants working into F/T if needed)
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS JOB SUMMARY
This is a fast-paced hands-on position responsible for managing all shipping and receiving activities in addition to packaging items, pulling customer orders, invoicing, putting lots away, sanitizing area for upcoming auctions, and printing shipping labels.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain a physical presence in the warehouse in order to handle day-to-day activity.
- Works to ensure smooth coordination of shipping & receiving activities with a focus on packing items to minimize damage.
- Communicates directly with freight carriers and customers to schedule pick-ups, deliveries and to utilize the most cost effective means of shipping/transportation.
- Plans layout of staging areas for items considering size, weight, and related factors of materials being shipped.
- Focuses on care and preservation of items being shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and shipping products; and related problems.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine shipping efficiency and accuracy.
- Trace any shipments in questions.
- Process any package claims (FED-EX, USPS, UPS)
- Maintain accurate shipping and freight records.
- Maintain shipping supply levels (boxes, tape, foam, bubble, etc.)
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
- Drives shipments when needed.
- Overall cleanliness and neatness of the warehouse, shipping area and receiving area
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Maintain computer literacy on PC using company's chosen software products including Microsoft Excel and on in-house systems as applicable to position responsibilities. Ability to use multiple portals to request pick-ups and deliveries.
Warehouse Operations Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment.
· Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 80 lbs.
· Ability to work in person, full-time, 40 hours per week.
· Attention to detail and good time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
