The Sales / House Call Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with assisted living facilities, adult day care centers, independent living communities, rehabilitation centers, and community organizations to promote the medical primary care practice’s house call services. This position focuses on business growth, community outreach, patient referrals, scheduling coordination, and ensuring exceptional customer service for patients and partner facilities.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, self-motivated, and experienced in healthcare marketing, medical sales, or community relations.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with assisted living facilities, adult day care centers, group homes, rehabilitation facilities, and community organizations.
- Conduct in-person visits and presentations to promote house call primary care services.
- Identify opportunities to expand patient census and service areas.
- Create and implement outreach strategies to increase referrals and partnerships.
- Represent the practice at community events, healthcare networking events, and meetings.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility administrators, case managers, social workers, and caregivers.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with referral sources and community partners.
- Follow up regularly with facilities to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
- Address concerns or service issues promptly and professionally.
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate new patient referrals and admissions into the house call program.
- Work closely with providers and office staff to ensure efficient scheduling and coverage for house calls.
- Assist with route planning and scheduling optimization for providers.
- Ensure all required patient and facility documentation is completed accurately.
Marketing & Communication
- Assist in developing marketing materials and outreach campaigns.
- Educate facilities and families about available medical services, insurance acceptance, and patient eligibility.
- Track referral sources and maintain accurate records of outreach efforts and growth metrics.
- Provide regular reports on referral activity and business development progress.
Compliance & Professionalism
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure all interactions reflect the mission and values of the practice.
- Stay informed about healthcare trends, senior care services, and community resources.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in healthcare sales, medical marketing, case management, or community outreach preferred.
- Knowledge of primary care, home health, assisted living, or senior care environments preferred.
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts and schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and basic scheduling software.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for facility visits and outreach.
Preferred Skills
- Existing relationships within assisted living or senior care communities.
- Experience with healthcare referral coordination.
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance processes.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Work Environment
- Combination of office work and community/facility visits.
- Frequent local travel to assisted living facilities, adult day cares, and patient communities.
- Flexible schedule may be required based on facility needs and events.
