We are hiring a dependable FULL TIME Grooming Instructor to join our team at AZ Pet Grooming Academy at 67th Avenue & Happy Valley Road in Glendale AZ.
Our program focuses on hands-on learning, safety, and strong foundational grooming skills. As an instructor, you will work directly with students while they groom real dogs under your supervision.

- Teach and mentor grooming students in a hands-on learning environment
- Follow our structured academy curriculum while bringing your own unique experience, techniques, and industry knowledge to the classes you lead
- Demonstrate grooming techniques including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, and scissoring
- Supervise students while they groom dogs and ensure pets are handled safely and humanely
- Help students build confidence and develop professional grooming skills
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance throughout the training process
- Maintain a clean, safe, and positive learning environment
- Work alongside our salon team to ensure pets are cared for properly throughout the day
Our Grooming Instructor salary ranges depending on the number of days worked per week and overall schedule.
- 4–5 working days per week
- Weekend and weekdays available
- Once your schedule is established, you can look forward to a predictable and consistent weekly schedule
- We pride ourselves on providing stable schedules that allow for a healthy work/life balance
- Minimum 3+ years professional dog grooming experience
- Strong scissoring and breed-specific grooming knowledge
- Comfortable demonstrating grooming techniques and explaining concepts clearly
- Positive attitude and patience when teaching new skills
- Must enjoy mentoring and working with students
- Loves the grooming industry and enjoys helping others succeed
- Has patience and a passion for teaching
- Takes pride in safe and compassionate animal care
- Enjoys working with a team and contributing to a positive environment
