We are a well-established heavy civil construction company based in Henderson, Nevada, specializing in large infrastructure and site development projects throughout Southern Nevada. We are seeking a professional and safety-oriented Heavy Haul Driver to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
The Heavy Haul Driver will be responsible for transporting heavy construction equipment, oversized loads, and specialized machinery to and from project sites throughout Nevada and neighboring states. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who takes pride in operating safely, maintaining equipment, and being an essential part of a successful construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, crushers, and other construction machinery.
- Load, secure, and unload oversized equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Complete all required transportation logs, permits, and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with dispatch and project managers regarding deliveries and schedules.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all federal, state, and company regulations.
- Assist with minor equipment and trailer maintenance when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 3 years of heavy haul or lowboy transportation experience.
- Experience transporting oversized and overweight loads.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and heavy equipment securement procedures.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is highly preferred.
- Nevada permits and endorsements are a plus.
