Blue Steele is recruiting on behalf of a locally owned boutique and Pilates studio in Mesa, Arizona. We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Retail Sales Associate who enjoys working with people, creating memorable customer experiences, and wearing multiple hats throughout the day.
This is more than a traditional retail position. You'll support both the boutique and Pilates studio by assisting customers, selling memberships, caring for plants, creating social media content, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Schedule
This is a part-time position averaging 14–15 hours per week.
Work Schedule
- Monday: 1:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Wednesday: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Friday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM

What You'll DoBoutique Retail
- Greet every customer with a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the shopping experience.
- Assist customers with boutique merchandise, apparel, gifts, home décor, and plants.
- Process retail transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Restock merchandise and maintain attractive product displays.
- Assist with inventory, pricing, and receiving new merchandise.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences.
- Help achieve daily and monthly retail sales goals.
Pilates Studio
- Welcome and check in clients for scheduled Pilates classes.
- Answer questions regarding memberships, class schedules, pricing, and studio services.
- Sell Pilates memberships and class packages.
- Assist clients with booking, rescheduling, and canceling classes.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
- Help create a welcoming experience for every studio guest.
Plant Care
- Water, prune, fertilize, and maintain indoor plants.
- Repot plants when needed.
- Monitor plant health and identify watering or pest issues.
- Keep plant displays healthy, clean, and visually appealing.
- Assist customers with basic plant-care recommendations.
Social Media & Advertising
- Create engaging content for Instagram and Facebook.
- Produce Instagram Reels, Stories, and promotional posts.
- Design graphics using Canva or similar software.
- Photograph merchandise, plants, Pilates classes, and special events.
- Promote retail sales, Pilates memberships, and upcoming events through social media.
- Help increase community engagement and brand awareness.
Cleaning & Facility Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized retail boutique and Pilates studio.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize common areas.
- Clean mirrors, counters, displays, retail shelving, restrooms, and Pilates equipment.
- Complete opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Ensure the boutique and studio remain welcoming and customer-ready throughout every shift.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a customer-focused environment.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous retail, boutique, fitness studio, hospitality, or customer service experience.
- Comfortable selling retail products and Pilates memberships.
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, or social media marketing.
- Basic plant care knowledge or a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
