Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Expo to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. You will also assist in coordinating table service, managing reservations, and supporting the dining team to deliver a seamless and enjoyable experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and manage waitlists with a friendly attitude.
- Handle restaurant reservation management using our table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Support host/hostess duties by organizing seating arrangements and ensuring efficient flow of guests.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest seating and service timing.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.
- Provide excellent guest services by answering questions about menu items, wait times, and restaurant policies.
- Use phone communication skills and proper phone etiquette to take reservations or address guest inquiries when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or expo in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse guests confidently.
- Experience with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling guest counts, wait times, and table management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations efficiently.
- A positive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest relations and customer service.
