American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg - Long Term Care position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active MT or compact RN license.

Long-term care setting with a Med/Surg patient population
-
Charting performed using Epic EMR
-
Active MT or compact RN license required (no pending licenses)

Current BLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) and remain valid through the duration of the assignment

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or long-term care nursing experience required

ASN or higher from an accredited School of Nursing required
-
Epic EMR experience required

Must be able to lift objects over 100 lbs, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs

DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Conducts holistic, age-specific admission assessments and develops individualized nursing plans of care

Analyzes clinical data (lab, imaging, diagnostics) to inform and update resident care plans
-
Communicates with physicians to coordinate medical and nursing care

Supervises, coaches, and evaluates assigned CNA staff

Responsible for discharge planning, including completion of transfer/discharge documents and patient/family education

Maintains working knowledge of CMS regulations, Medicare skilled criteria, and MDS documentation requirements
-
Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
