We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Restaurant Shift Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. In this role, you will oversee the smooth functioning of restaurant activities during your shift, ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and safety standards are maintained. Your leadership will motivate staff, manage resources efficiently, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and cleanliness standards
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve high performance levels through effective training and coaching
- Manage shift schedules, assign tasks, and oversee staff performance to ensure efficient workflow
- Handle cash transactions, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and cash handling procedures accurately
- Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and coordinate with kitchen staff for proper food production and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas of the restaurant
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members to foster a skilled and motivated workforce
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision within quick service or casual dining environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems; proficient in cash handling and inventory control
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a hospitality setting
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Experience with management, food handling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
