About the Role
As a Metal Forming Technician, you will play a critical role in our production cycle by transforming raw sheet metal into precise components using advanced CNC press brake technology. You will ensure high-quality output by managing complex setups and optimizing machine performance to meet demanding production schedules.
Responsibilities-
Configure and operate CNC press brakes and manual shears to achieve high-precision sheet metal forming.

Execute rapid machine changeovers and tooling setups to maximize throughput for both prototype and high-volume production runs.

Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and job folders to ensure parts meet exact customer specifications.

Program and adjust CNC controls to produce accurate bends for panels and enclosures.

Verify part quality using precision measuring instruments like calipers to maintain strict tolerance standards.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative care to ensure optimal machine uptime.

Manage material flow and production documentation to ensure accurate inventory tracking and workflow efficiency.

Maintain a safe, organized workspace while adhering to all operational safety protocols.
Qualifications-
Proven experience operating CNC press brakes within a sheet metal job shop or contract manufacturing environment.

Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical layouts.

Demonstrated ability to select, install, and maintain various types of press brake tooling.

Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship and attendance.

Experience with Amada or Salvagnini press brake systems.

Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.

Strong problem-solving abilities and experience collaborating with engineering teams to refine production processes.
