About New Leaf Specialized Therapies
New Leaf Specialized Therapies is an Indiana Medicaid waiver provider offering Recreation Therapy and Behavior Management services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2019.
We officially added a pediatric OT clinic in May of this year and are now expanding our therapy services to include Pediatric Speech Therapy through private insurance and Medicaid hopefully by the end of this year. We are seeking an experienced leader to help develop and oversee this new program while maintaining a partial caseload of pediatric speech-language clients.
Position Summary
The Director of Pediatric Speech Therapy will lead the development, implementation, and supervision of New Leaf's Speech Therapy program. This position combines clinical leadership, program management, and direct pediatric speech-language therapy.
The Director will establish clinical policies and procedures, assist with the design and development of speech therapy spaces and resources, recruit and supervise speech-language pathologists and support staff, ensure quality care, and provide direct therapy services to children with a variety of communication and feeding needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the pediatric Speech Therapy program, including clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with planning and development of therapy spaces, equipment, and materials.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise speech-language pathologists and support staff.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a pediatric caseload.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, insurance, state licensing, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership on billing, documentation, program growth, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive interdisciplinary team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Indiana (or eligible for licensure).
- Knowledge of Medicaid and insurance documentation standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of pediatric speech-language pathology experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience with pediatric speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, AAC, and/or feeding/swallowing disorders.
- Passion for working with children and individuals with special needs.
- Experience developing or managing a therapy program or clinic.
