Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender/Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team located in Chestnut Hill, PA. This is a flex positions both bar shifts and manager shifts making up the weekly work schedule. Manager shifts are paid at $30/hr. and bar shifts are at then tip credit rate + tips. Full-time Horus available.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring presentation aligns with quality standards
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all service areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with bar operations including mixing drinks, garnishing, and inventory management
- Oversee restaurant or nightclub operations during shifts, ensuring smooth workflow
- Train new staff members on POS systems, service protocols, and safety procedures
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Support catering or banquet events as needed, including setup and breakdown
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet environments
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly within a licensed establishment (Food industry experience preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; managerial roles may require additional responsibilities in scheduling and staff supervision
- Nice-to-have skills include catering experience, brewing knowledge, retail math proficiency, and familiarity with hospitality operations
