Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team. Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including stock stocking, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate inventory movement
- Utilize warehouse management systems to monitor inventory levels, perform data collection, and execute data analysis for process optimization
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and optimize sourcing strategies
- Perform demand planning and forecasting using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel data analysis to align inventory levels with sales trends
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics inventory management practices and recommending enhancements for efficiency
- Manage materials handling operations, including heavy lifting tasks and materials management in compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or supply chain management with a strong understanding of warehouse operations
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management software
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data mining, financial analysis, and mathematical modeling for inventory control decisions
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with procurement, merchandising, production planning, and logistics teams
- Technical proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), data collection techniques, and demand planning methodologies
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating materials handling equipment preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting as required in warehouse environments
