Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems like AS400 and MRP software to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately according to order specifications.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stocking shelves efficiently and ensuring products are stored securely on pallets or racks.
- Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms, ensuring timely processing of customer orders.
- Support packaging operations to meet quality standards and optimize shipping logistics for cost-effective delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution and inventory management.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, RF scanners, and order picker equipment.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, including load & unload operations and international trade regulations.
- Basic math skills for counting stock, measuring dimensions, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items safely and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, picking & packing orders, and maintaining accurate records.
