Job Overview
The sales and distribution location for this position is in Nashville, TN for a multi-location wholesale distributor. In this role, you will act as a liaison for customers by providing service and product information, processing customer orders, and efficiently providing solutions to inquiries and/or customer concerns.
Responsibilities
In an office environment, this role requires the use of a computer, phone, and email to communicate with customers to place orders, track order progress, transfer stock between company locations, resolve complaints, and contribute to customer satisfaction. You will be expected to work effectively with other customer specialists and sales representatives to check orders for accuracy and integrity.
- Generate solutions to customer inquiries by building and retaining trusting relationships.
- Execute customer orders promptly, along with the responsibility of providing order availability, confirmation, tracking, and all other customer inquiries.
- Practice proper telephone and email etiquette to answer calls and emails in a timely, polite, and professional manner.
- Utilize knowledge of products, delivery schedules, and individual customer history to provide a key communications link to the customer.
- Produce sales of new or additional products by providing proactive, quality service and following up on customer needs.
- Answer customers’ questions with accurate and complete information by using system tools and resources provided.
- Ensure a timely resolution of customer issues by working promptly to manage and resolve payment issues, delivery discrepancies, and other inquiries.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse managers, drivers, and sales representatives to assure orders have been delivered or received.
- Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor / leadership.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Technically proficient and comfortable using the internet, phone, email, fax, and learning order entry software
