Serve as the Lead Teacher for the classroom. You will be responsible for preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. The position will also prepare lesson plans and instruction.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
Have a general understanding of music theory
Experience:
Some experience working with children
Some background with music (i.e.: high school band, choir, music training, etc.)
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Prepare administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Maintain inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
- Supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
- Coordinate special needs or problems of individual students.
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
