We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Live-In Caregiver to join our luxurious boutique Assisted Living Facility (ALF). Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status regularly, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to medical professionals
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols to ensure safety and compliance
- Support residents with cognitive disabilities by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Operate manual handling equipment safely, including Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices, to ensure resident safety during transfers
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Maintain detailed documentation of resident care activities, health updates, and incident reports in compliance with facility policies
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory support techniques
- Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in residential or community settings
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid/CPR certification is essential
- Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involved in caregiving roles
- Experience working within senior care environments such as retirement homes or group homes enhances your suitability for this role
