We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Ensure estimated cycle times are met by continuously improving process flows, removing unnecessary motion/processes, and eliminating waiting time.
- Ensure short-term commitments are met by personally following product and removing any obstacles.
- Ensure long term commitments are met by properly planning manpower and machines
- Monitoring and mentoring leads supervisors to improve efficiency
- Develop goals for leads and supervisors to improve overall management skills
- Hold leads and supervisors accountable for deadlines
- Make decisions on the fly to keep production moving
- Build employee schedules to best suit the needs of the company
- Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments
- Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput
- Collaborating with engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure efficient production methods.
- Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications
- Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
- Coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
- Providing engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Coordinating maintenance work assigned to technicians and outside vendors.
- Review timecards and approve time off request as needed
- Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, specified regulations, and goods manufacturing practices.
