Assistant Manager – Hardware Store
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has strong hardware product knowledge and leadership experience in a retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day store operations and opening/closing procedures
- Supervise and support sales associates
- Provide expert customer assistance on tools, building materials, plumbing, electrical, and paint products
- Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandising
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and high customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of retail experience (hardware/home improvement preferred)
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic POS and inventory system knowledge
Must be able to lift merchandise and work flexible hours, including weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
