Position Summary:
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufactured housing community while providing exceptional customer service to residents and prospective residents. This role serves as the primary point of contact for resident relations, leasing activities, rent collection, community appearance, and administrative operations. The Community Manager works closely with Regional Managers to ensure the property is professionally maintained, financially organized, and operating in compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage both office responsibilities and community operations in a fast-paced environment.
Daily Duties of the job include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Prospect processing
- Executing signings of rental agreements
- Working with Rent Manager management software
- Collecting and depositing rent payments via check scanner
- Moving residents in and out
- Basic accounting and balancing
- Servicing the residents of the community as your customers
- Managing employees' safety compliance
- Ensuring community is well-maintained and groomed
- Working with and communicating with a regional manager for effective community management
- Handling rent collections, utility billing, delinquency follow-up, deposits, and legal notice coordination
- Managing resident relations by addressing questions, complaints, disputes, violations, and incidents professionally and in a timely manner
- Understanding and knowledge of fair housing and employment laws
- Working using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word & Excel, Management Software, email, scanners, fax, and other basic office tools
- Miscellaneous office administrative work, etc
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years of property management experience.
- Must have basic office computer platforms and software knowledge
- Sales and construction knowledge is a plus
- Must have reliable registered transportation.
- Must have valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable law
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and squat for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
