Duties
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas.
- Support catering and banquet setups by preparing ingredients or assisting with plating as needed.
- Handle food handling responsibilities in accordance with safety regulations to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy meal periods and special events.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and food safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering operations.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills to support chefs, servers, and other staff members effectively.
- Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus for supporting large-scale events.
