Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Barista, where your passion for coffee and exceptional customer service will shine! In this dynamic role, you’ll craft delicious beverages, and create a welcoming environment for every guest. We are a small town coffee shop that offers sandwiches, espresso, matcha, chai, baked goods, and smoothies. We offer flexible schedule but would really like someone who can come in during the week days from 6:30am to 4:30 pm. We usually offer shifts of about 5 hours but can work to accomodate other schedules or needs. We pool tips which offers about 3-6 extra dollars per hour on average.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of drinks including coffee, tea, and smoothies.
- Operate Toast POS system.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards.
- Make sandwiches and manage our bakery offerings in the dry case.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed.
- Apply our standards of production and cleaning
- Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but we will train.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures expected but we will train..
